Music

Welcome to music with Ms Farmer.

Music education at Jimboomba State School is an important aspect of the school curriculum that involves all students. Our aim is to develop and cultivate an awareness and appreciation of each student’s innate creativity through music. Through the implementation of a developmental and sequentially based music program, we seek to further develop each student’s musical ability. Students have the opportunity to engage in: singing and playing; writing and reading; aurally and visually recognising and responding to music. We are lucky at Jimboomba State School to have 6 full sized marimbas that are the basis for classroom music learning and performance instead of recorders.

  • Choir

Jimboomba State School choir offers musical participation to students from years 2 to 7.

  • Instrumental music
