Prep

In term three​ each year parents intending to enrol their prep age child are required to organise an enrolment interview. Education Queensland requires evidence of a student’s date of birth when enrolling. Parents can provide evidence of date of birth from the following documents.

  • Extract of a birth certificate
  • Birth certificate
  • Certificate of baptism
  • Hospital records signed by a doctor
  • Statutory declaration witnessed by a justice of the peace, or
  • Passport.

Parents and students enrolling in prep at Jimboomba State School will be required to attend an enrolment interview as well as a follow-up Brigance screener in term four to ensure developmental milestones are catered for in the classroom.
