The Resource Centre consists of a library, computer lab, as well as a teachers' resource room.
Children may borrow picture books, fiction books and non-fiction books to support research and a love of reading.
Our library Teacher-Aide, Mel Buttigieg is available to assist students, staff and parents to borrow resources or access information.

Library hours

The Library is open from 8.30am – 3.30pm Monday to Friday.
All classes are assigned a library borrowing time however students may also visit the library during their play time.

Year 1-3 students - Monday, Wednesday and Friday to watch a movie, play board games, read or colour in.
Year 4-6 students - Tuesday and Thursday where they can also watch a movie, use the computer lab or read.

Borrowing Guidelines

All students are encouraged to borrow regularly and frequently. Students in the lower school are required to use a suitable library bag or pillowcase to protect the library books.

A library resource may be borrowed for a maximum of two weeks. If a student needs extra time, the resource must be returned and renewed.

Year level borrowing limits

  • Prep to Year 3 may borrow a maximum of 1 book per week in their allocated class time
  • Year 4 to Year 6 may borrow a maximum of 2 book per week in their allocated class time

Lost or damaged library resources have to be paid for or replaced.

Book club

The library runs a Scholastic Book club twice a term to encourage the love of reading. You may either pay online or drop the money into the book club box at the library.

Book fair

This event is held twice a year to provide students and parents with the opportunity to purchase quality books at reasonable prices. It is also beneficial for the library as the school receives a commission on the total sale amount of books purchased. Further resources are then purchased for the library.

Book week

This event is held once a year to allow students to explore their imagination and love of literacy with a different theme each year. Students come dressed in a costume of their choice and participate in a whole school parade. The library is also decorated to that theme and students' artwork is displayed in the library. Parents may also come into the library that week to view the display.
