Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL)

Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL), is a whole-school approach to creating a safe and supportive environment. At Jimboomba State School we want to ensure all students are able to learn in a safe and supportive environment. We know that in order to turn problem behaviour around we need to teach acceptable and appropriate ways to behave. This is assisted through teaching social skills, behaviour regulation strategies and being consistent across the school with our expectations.

At Jimboomba State School, communication of our key messages about behaviour is backed up through reinforcement, which provides students with feedback for engaging in expected school behaviour. Reinforcements are designed to increase the quantity and quality of positive interactions between students and staff.
